Designing the first international property for Six Flags posed its design team with a unique creative challenge- what is the theme park of the 21st century? Primarily built in the 1960’s and 1970’s, Six Flags’ North American parks largely featured international themes popular of the era. With Six Flags Dubai, there was an opportunity to reinvent what a Six Flags park could be, and the creative team seized upon this, designing the world’s first theme park based on a spectrum of emotions. In place of lands themed to foreign locales, visitors to Six Flags Dubailand would traverse immersive environments themed to Wonder, Play, Discover, Explore, and Celebrate- each one packed with new takes on classic favorite attractions.

Fun Fact: The design for Six Flags Dubailand featured the world’s tallest and fastest non-launched roller coaster.
